FAPA/ DCFS 2010 Caregiver Conference

Marriot Oakbrook Hills Resort

Illinois Foster Adoptive Parent Association caregiver conference with DCFS. The weekend conference will be held August 27-29 at the Marriott Oak Brook Hills Resort. The conference "Fostering Positive Outcomes for Children" is open to all foster, adoptive and relative caregivers.

Up to 14 training hours are available through workshops covering development, education, health, behavior and parenting topics pertinent to youth of all ages.

Registration is first come, first served. It includes lodging (with a selected or assigned roommate) and meals at no charge. Caregivers received detailed information in the most recent issue of the newsletter IL Families Now and Forever.

Registration Update (as of 5-28-10)

Slots are available for caregivers living in Southern Region. For caregivers in other regions, all slots have been filled, but a waitlist is open.  For more information contact the DCFS registration unit dcfstraining@illinois.gov or by phone at 877-800-3393.
