DCFS Find Your Future:
Summer Internships for Our College Youth

What is Find Your Future?

In the career world, relationships are everything. Networks and connections have an enormous impact on an individual’s professional advancement. The Find Your Future program selects and matches youth in DCFS care who are enrolled as full-time college students with paid, full-time, 10-week internships lasting from early June through mid-August. These internships are an amazing opportunity for students to gain substantive work experience, network and cultivate career building skills. The program is sponsored by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and made possible by donations from participating employers.

"Not only was I able to interact and learn more within the field of business, but I learned office etiquette, dinner etiquette, more about how to manage my money and had the opportunity to meet great friends!" - 2010 Intern

“This internship has been one of the best things of my life. I learned so much each and every day!” -2009 Intern
