Integrated Assessment Program is Live Statewide!

Posted 2/3/2005
The Department of Children and Family Services proudly announces the formal implementation of the Illinois Model of Integrated Assessment. This is an exciting time for DCFS and marks a major milestone in how Illinois takes a proactive step to better serve our children.

Effective February 1, 2005 the Integrated Assessment Program (IAP) is rolling out statewide to respond to all new standard cases. Standard placement cases are defined as 1) a new case, never opened for service, but for which a child needs out-of-home placement at the time of case opening; 2) a case of an adopted child for whom out-of-home placement is required (otherwise called an adoption disruption case); 3) a closed DCFS case, opened based on new findings and for which the child requires a new placement.

The IAP statewide implementation will increase collaboration between DCFS and POS agencies. DCFS staff members from Clinical, Agency Performance, Service Intervention, and Operations are meeting with Managers, Supervisors and Caseworkers around the state for IAP refresher trainings. The schedule for these trainings is posted below.
