Partnering With Parents Advisory Council
Welcome to the web page for the DCFS "Partnering With Parents" Program.
Through this program DCFS, working with its POS partner agencies, seeks to support, educate, engage and empower parents to partner with us and help move their cases forward more quickly and effectively. Parents who attend the monthly meetings of the group in their area will benefit from the supportive atmosphere created by those who staff the meeting. Parents also have the opportunity to meet and connect with other parents who are having similar experiences. Parents will benefit from educational presentations and pointed discussions about the various aspects of the child welfare system and court that affect them. And staff will answer parents´ questions and explain who they can call to get answers to their case-specific questions.
This program also supports parent information fairs, annual parent summits and institute days and resource links on this web page.
