Governor Signs Minimum Wage Increase
On Dec. 18, Gov. Blagojevich signed into law legislation increasing the state minimum wage to $7.50 per hour on July 1, 2007. The minimum wage will increase by an additional 25 cents in each of the following three years to $7.75 on July 1, 2008; $8.00 on July 1, 2009; and $8.25 on July 1, 2010.
