"Family Meeting" means a multi-disciplinary staffing intended to engage the family in the planning process. Issues addressed at family meetings include child protective service plans, parental progress, and critical decision-making. In cases involving substance affected families, the family meeting also addresses how the parent's alcohol and other drug abuse, treatment, and recovery affect the safety and well-being of the children.
