"Independent Living Placement Services (ILO)" is defined as casework and other supportive services provided by a licensed child welfare agency that has a purchase of service (POS) contract with the Department to provide independent living placement services. The services are most typically provided to eligible youth who will be living in an apartment in the community and are intended to prepare the youth for transition to adulthood and self-sufficiency. ILO may, but typically does not, provide 24-hour staff supervision to youth receiving the services. (PG 2002.09)
