Initial background check

"Initial background check" means the individual has cleared a check of the Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System (CANTS) and the Statewide Child Sex Offender Registry. (R 403, 404, 405, 410)

"Initial background check" means fingerprints have been obtained, as verified by a receipt from the fingerprint vendor, and the individual has cleared a check of the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) and the Illinois Sex Offender Registry. (R 407, 408)
