Any of the following persons who have reasonable cause to believe that a child known to them in their professional capacity may be abused or neglected child shall immediately report or cause a report to be made to the Department. These mandated reporters include:
· Physicians, residents, interns;
· Hospitals;
· Hospital Administrators and personnel engaged in the examination, care and treatment of persons;
· Surgeons;
· dentists;
· dentist hygienists;
· Osteopaths;
· Chiropractors;
· Podiatrists;
· Christian Science Practitioners;
· Coroners;
· Medical Examiners;
· Emergency Medical Technicians;
· Crisis line or hotline personnel;
· School personnel;
· Educational advocate assigned to a child pursuant the School code;
· Truant officers;
· Social Workers;
· Social Service Administrators;
· Domestic Violence program personnel;
· Registered nurses;
· Licensed practical nurses, advanced practice nurses, home health aides,;
· Directors and staff assistants of nursery schools or child day care centers;
· Recreational program or facility personnel;
· Law Enforcement Officers;
· Registered Psychologists;
· Assistants working under the direct supervision of a psychologist of psychiatrist;
· Field Personnel of the Illinois Department of Public Aid, Public Health, Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, Corrections, Children and Family Services, Human Rights and Rehabilitation Services;
· Probation Officers;
· Foster parents, homemakers or any other child care worker;
· Supervisors and administrators of general assistance under the Illinois Public Aid Code; or
· Substance abuse treatment personnel.
· funeral home directors or their employees; or
· members of the clergy.
