| CHICAGO,
Oct. 26, 2005 - The Latino Consortium will host the Annual Hispanic Family Institute
reception to celebrate the Latino community and pay tribute to those who have
played significant roles in the delivery of services to Latino families. "The
Hispanic Family Institute kick-off event is our way of personally commending the
ongoing efforts of those working to improve the lives of Hispanic children and
families throughout Illinois," said DCFS Director Bryan Samuels. The
event, which is a precursor to the 17th Annual Hispanic Family Institute on November
9-10th, will be held at the Garfield Park Conservatory at 300 N. Central Park

Director Bryan Samuels is the guest speaker with appearances by representatives
from the various Hispanic Consulates, Hispanic State Legislators, Hispanic Aldermen,
and child welfare and other public and private agencies. "The

community at large to help strengthen services to Hispanic families," added
Samuels. The
