Public Defender Discussion Group

The Illinois Public Defender Discussion group is available to Illinois Public Defenders, Appellate Defenders and private attorneys who accept Illinois criminal cases on an appointment or pro bono basis. Panel attorneys for the Office of the State Appellate Defender and the Capital Litigation Center are also eligible.

This is an e-mail-based group that allows members to discuss current issues and obtain news of interest to criminal defense attorneys. To subscribe, send an e-mail to dbergschneider@mail.state.il.us indicating your desire to subscribe to the Public Defender discussion group, your name, address, and telephone number and the county in which you are a Public Defender or take criminal cases (or your affiliation with the State Appellate Defender or Capital Litigation Division). You will receive confirmation by e-mail when your subscription is activated.
