COMMUNITY AWARENESS GRANT

Cumberland County Historical and Genealogical Society Greenup, $420
To create, publish, and distribute a brochure to increase public awareness of the Cumberland County Historical and Genealogical Society

Gregg House Museum / Westmont Historical Society, Westmont, $170
To create a color brochure about the Museum to distribute to the community and Museum visitors

Springfield Art Association, Springfield, $500
To print two books: one on the history of Edwards Place and the other a historical cookbook featuring 1871 Springfield recipes and excerpts from Edwards family correspondence mentioning cooking and dining.


CONSERVATION SUPPORT

Governor Oglesby Mansion, Decatur, $410
To purchase new, locking file cabinets to store collections records and paper collections.

Parkland College Art Gallery, Champaign, $500
To mat and frame art works from the permanent collection for display in “Art Zones” in public spaces on campus.

Theatre Historical Society of America, Chicago, $92
To rehouse the Chicago Architectural Photography Company Collection into archival boxes


EXHIBITS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Cahokia Mounds Museum Center , Collinsville, $500
To develop four self-contained traveling exhibits on the key aspects of Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site to be used for public outreach and as a resource for classrooms

Midwest Museum of Natural History, Sycamore, $500
To purchase display cases for an expanded geology exhibit which will allow expanded programming for scout and school groups


TECHNOLOGY GRANT

Geneva History Center, Geneva, $500
To purchase equipment and secure professional services to transfer oral histories collected in collaboration with the StoryCorps into a format easily accessed by the general public

Joseph Glidden Homestead and Historical Center, DeKalb, $500
To purchase equipment to install in a new welcome center

Wabash County Museum, Mount Carmel, $500
To purchase a laptop to use for multimedia presentation “on the road”
