Mission Statement
The Illinois Association of Museums (IAM) is an
agent for positive change in the museum community – providing
advocacy, promoting best practices, and fostering the exchange
of ideas.
Vision
Statement
IAM will be the recognized voice of, and a valued
resource for, the state’s diverse museum community.
Affiliations
IAM supports
the work of the American Association of Museums, the Association
of Midwest Museums, the standing professional committees of each
of those organizations. IAM also supports the work of the American
Association for State and Local History. IAM supports the work
of local museum networks and seeks to work collaboratively with
all of those organizations.
