Dear Licensee,

Please find the U.S. NRC Information Notice 2011-07, "Specific License Required When Exporting To Embargoed Destinations Listed in 10 CFR 110.28". This notice contains important information on the requirements to obtain a specific license from the NRC prior to exporting nuclear equipment and material to embargoed destinations. Exports to an embargoed destination must be authorized by a specific NRC export license and cannot be exported under a general export license. Shipments to a distributor or a "middle man" in a non-embargoed destination do not relieve the exporter of the requirement to obtain a specific license for exports in which the ultimate consignee is in an embargoed destination. Please consider these NRC requirements when exporting nuclear equipment and materials to embargoed destinations.
