The data presented is taken from annual reports submitted by licensed measurement and mitigation professionals. The measurement data includes calendar years 2003 - 2011. The mitigation data includes calendar years 2005 - 2011. The measurement data includes only the highest measurement for each address that was submitted. Data collected from measurements performed by homeowners will be included in future updates of the website.
Using the Interactive map. Clicking on the map of Illinois will open an interactive map of the state that
displays average measured radon levels submitted to IEMA, color-coded by county. The map
enables you to zoom in and out and to find average measured radon levels by county and zip code.
Clicking on a county will bring up additional options for locating measurement and mitigation professionals as well as
providing access to the measurment data for a specific county by zip code.
Looking for a measurement or mitigation professional? Open up the
interactive map and then click on your county. A pop-up box will display with a "Contractor List" link
to all of the individuals who are licensed to measure and mitigate radon in that county.
Looking for measurement results for a specific zip code? Open up the
interactive map and then click on your county. A pop-up box will display with a "County Measurement Map" link
to the measurement details by zip code within that county.
Looking for the number of mitigations performed within a specific county or zip code? Open up the
interactive map and then click on your county. A pop-up box will display with a "County Mitigation Map" link
