Statement of Ownership Interests
On June 13, 2013 Illinois Governor Pat Quinn signed into law House Bill 2606 (Public Act 098-0021) prohibiting a manufacturer of beer from ownership or
control, either directly or indirectly, of an Illinois licensed
distributor or importing distributor.
This new law requires manufacturers and distributors to divest prohibited
ownership interests by January 1, 2015 as well as complete and return a “Statement of Ownership
Interests” form to the Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILCC) by August 12, 2013.
IMPORTANT: If you missed the August 12 deadline, please send in your statement as soon as possible. Failure to comply may result in a disciplinary action taken against your license.
Non-resident dealers, brewers, brew pubs and distributors should have already
received a notice from the ILCC. If your business holds one of these licenses and has not received this
notice, please click on the Statement of Ownership
Interests link to download a PDF version of the required notice.
