"Don't Be Sorry" visits Harrisburg, IL to discuss underage drinking prevention strategies

CHICAGO—On Tuesday, May 20 at 6:00 p.m., the Illinois Liquor Control Commission's Don't Be Sorry campaign will participate in the "Prevent It! Underage Drinking" panel discussion at the Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) Foundation Building (formerly the old Alan Miller Dealership) in Harrisburg, IL.
Featured speakers at the forum, which is sponsored by Egyptian Health Department and Southeastern Illinois Coalition Again Drug Abuse (SICADA), are traffic safety consultant Marti Belluschi and Liquor Commission Industry Education Manager Ted Penesis. Panel members include Saline County Sheriff Keith Brown and prevention specialists Jodi Wilson, Andy Greer and Barbara McArthy.
A barbeque dinner will be served to all attendees and door prizes will be given away at the conclusion of the forum.
Don’t Be Sorry is an educational campaign designed to teach students, parents, and liquor retailers about the dangers of underage drinking. The campaign features educators and guest speakers who travel the state to share their personal experiences and the consequences of underage drinking. At the May 20 forum, Belluschi and Penesis will present information and distribute materials about the health and legal consequences of underage drinking.
