Voluntary Optional Term Life Insurance

The General Assembly Retirement System, the Judges' Retirement System, and the State Employees' Retirement System have elected to participate in the National Conference of Public Employee Retirement System (NCPERS) voluntary optional term life insurance program. This program is administered by American Administrative Group, Inc. and underwritten by Prudential Life Insurance.

This life insurance plan is designed to supplement other life insurance you may have through the State of Illinois or what you may have purchased on your own. This plan is a level premium decreasing term life plan at a cost of $16.00 per month. The monthly cost remains the same regardless of your age. This plan is only available for active members with an annual enrollment period to be held in October - November of each year.
