ESSENTIAL DUTIES: This position works with the public, approximately 21 judges, court reporters, various court personnel, attorneys, and other county officials and offices. This position is responsible for various secretarial duties, including, but not limited to: answering a multi-line phone system, directing phone calls, assisting the public, judges, attorneys and others, processing appeals, scheduling interpreters, daily court calendars, ordering of supplies, quarterly reports, maintaining office filing systems, making inquiries of automated case management systems, correspondence management, and general duties assigned. Individual must reside in the parameters of the 7th Judicial Circuit.

EXPERIENCE AND SKill REQUIREMENTS: Individual must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience, education or training in a clerical capacity within a legal or other professional environment. Candidates must possess strong organizational and time management skills; ability to communicate effectively and exercise discretion, diplomacy, and professionalism in working with the public, co-workers, and judicial staff; ability to work independently using sound judgment and consistent application of procedural rules with specific attention to detail; flexibility and proven success working collaboratively as a team member; and willingness to learn and assume responsibility for varied duties and tasks as assigned. Must be proficient in the use of a variety of software application including MSWord, Outlook, and a general familiarity with electronic processes. Candidate must possess accounting and/or bookkeeping skills. A successful candidate must maintain a professional work environment.
